Petényi kaolin clay plaster, 25 kg

Adobe plaster has a long-standing tradition in folk architecture, and nowadays this type of plaster is increasingly sought after. It is made entirely from naturally occurring materials that can be returned to the environment, making it fully recyclable.

In contact with human skin, it does not cause injuries or allergic reactions, and its healing properties have been known for millennia. In addition to providing good thermal insulation, adobe wall structures offer excellent heat storage and temperature regulation. Its moisture-regulating properties help maintain optimal indoor humidity compared to other building materials. Another advantage is that it binds harmful indoor air components and unpleasant odors, without any harmful emissions.

Petényi adobe plaster is made from kaolin extracted from the Agyag-Ásvány Ltd. quarry, blended with fine-grained homogeneous river sand and natural fibers, without any artificial additives.

The use of natural fibers is recommended from a thickness of 1–1.5 cm.

Kaolin’s light color makes it easier to paint, and its fine grain allows for the easy creation of a smooth, troweled surface using Petényi’s finely ground kaolin and sand plaster.

The kaolin plaster is a ready-to-use product; there is no need to mix it with additional clay or sand—only water needs to be added.

Water should be gradually added to the kaolin plaster to achieve the desired consistency. Let it rest for 1 hour so the kaolin clay can fully absorb the water. Before application, the surface must be cleaned of dust and moistened.

It is suitable for both exterior and interior plastering and can be applied manually or mechanically.

The mixed material can be used for several days.
